We created the Zinc Nutrient Initiative (ZNI) to promote the use of zinc fertilizers to improve crop yields, food security, and human nutrition. Since its inception in 2009, ZNI has raised awareness of the prevalence of global zinc deficiency in soil and human diets and addressed these problems through educational materials, crop trials, training and workshops, and policy development.
